Ronnie Renner Aims Higher in Chicago

Ronnie Renner Aims Higher in Chicago Jun 30th, 2009 A HIGH KIND OF TOWN, CHICAGO IS - MOTOCROSS STAR RONNIE RENNER TO ATTEMPT TO BREAK HIGHEST AIR WORLD RECORD AT RED BULL HIGH RISE, SATURDAY, JULY 25CHICAGO, IL – Chicago’s renowned skyscrapers will share the sky with motocross superstar Ronnie Renner on Saturday, July 25. The Windy City will watch as Renner attempts to break his own Guinness World Record for the highest air ever attained on a motorcycle at Red Bull High Rise. He will go sky-high at Butler Field prior to Chicago’s annual Venetian Night, adding a new spin to an old tradition.Renner is a respected freestyle motocross veteran whose credentials include a gold medal in Step-Up at the 2007 Summer X Games and the Step-Up world record. He set his original quarterpipe big air world record by jumping an amazing 59 feet, 2 inches in July, 2008. In 2009, he will attempt to beat this record by launching sky-high onto a massive custom-built steel landing ramp measuring 64 feet wide and 30 feet tall. Why Chicago? Why not? “While I was thrilled with being able to set the initial world record last year, I know I can push myself to achieve a better height, and Chicago is one of the best places to be in the summer,” said Renner. “Plus it added another component to my training regimen – I need to train my stomach to prepare for Chicago cuisine; especially the deep dish pizza!”Renner has been training at the exclusive Red Bull Compound in Southern California in preparation for his big night on a modular quarterpipe built specifically for him. The Compound is a one-of-a-kind training facility that Red Bull provides its athletes to equip them with the support they need in order to achieve their wildest dreams.WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF RED BULL Renner’s jump completes yet another amazing chapter of world-firsts, following the record-shattering performances of fellow motocross sensation Robbie Maddison and BMX star Kevin Robinson. Maddison jumped the length of a football field in front of thousands on New Year’s Eve 2007, clearing 322 feet in Las Vegas. Last June, Robinson soared 27 feet above the lip of a huge quarterpipe (54 feet above the ground) in New York’s Central Park to set the BMX big air world record.VENETIAN NIGHT!Presented by the City of Chicago, the 52nd Annual Venetian Night is expected to draw more than half a million people to the lakefront. In addition to Renner’s world record attempt, the evening kicks off at 7:45 p.m. with the Chicago Fire Department's Air/Sea Rescue re-enactment. Immediately following at 8:15 p.m. the boat parade begins, culminating with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. People of all ages begin to stake out spots along the lakefront in the early=2 0morning to ensure a good view of this popular event. 2010 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, Schedule Announced

2010 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, Schedule Announced

AURORA, Ill. (June 29, 2009) - Feld Motor Sports announced today the 2010 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, schedule that begins January 9 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., and concludes May 8 at Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium. Since its beginning in 1974, Monster Energy® Supercross has played in some of the world's largest markets and most prestigious venues, and the 2010, 17-stop season adds to the sport's rich heritage.

"The 2009 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, was arguably the best season of all time, combining parity on the track and drama off the track, and we expect 2010 to build off of that excitement," said Charlie Mancuso, president, Feld Motor Sports. "The championship will continue its rich history at many of the legendary stadiums that have made Monster Energy® Supercross so strong, in addition to the new tour stop at the new state-of-the-art Cowboys Stadium."

The newest addition to the tour will be the inaugural stop at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which is a short drive from the old Texas Stadium. Monster Energy® Supercross held its first race at Texas Stadium in March 1, 1975 with subsequent races through 1977. From 1983-2008, Texas Stadium was one of the marquee stops on the Monster Energy® Supercross schedule. With the establishment of the new Cowboys Stadium, a new area of tradition will be built off of the historic 30 races held in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

President and CEO Rob Dingman of the AMA added: "AMA Supercross is the premier competition of its kind on the planet. The AMA is pleased to once again be working with the FIM and Feld Motor Sports for the 2010 season to provide the world's stage where the best-of-the-best will battle for championship honors. Since the beginning, AMA Supercross has grown in stature and significance. Today, the consolidated championship attracts the top riders from all over the globe. It's going to be another incredible season of competition."

"Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, can bow on a glorious past which results in the rich history it presently has," said Wolfgang Srb, President of the FIM Motocross Commission. "We are proud to count Monster Energy® Supercross amongst the 49 FIM World Championships. The 2009 season was most entertaining and kept the fans thrilled until the end. The FIM considers 2010 as a transition year and is confident that Feld Motor Sports will export Monster Energy® Supercross to new international horizons as of 2011. The fans that are supporting Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship worldwide deserve it."

After a successful 2009 return to Salt Lake City, Monster Energy® Supercross will bring the action back to Rice-Eccles Stadium May 1. With the loyal support and commitment from the Utah Sports Commission, Monster Energy® Supercross will make its sixth stop at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

"After looking at the 2010 AMA Supercross schedule, it's exciting to see where we will be competing at next year," said 2009 Monster Energy® Supercross champion James Stewart. "Most of the events will be similar to last year, but this year we're going to go to the new Cowboys Stadium, and it's the newest and biggest stadium in the United States. It's going to be fun to compete in the billion dollar Cowboys Stadium. Also, I look forward to returning to the venues that I created winning memories at during the 2009 season."

Kyle Loza body variable X-games "Electric Doom"

"Electric Doom" wows crowd & judges alike at X Games 14 as Kyle Loza Takes Gold in Moto X Best Trick Final for unprecedented 2nd Year in a row. Can Loza take gold again this year at X-games 15?

LOS ANGELES, California (August 1, 2008)— Defending champion, Kyle Loza landed 'Electric Doom' and took home the highest honors in the Moto X Best Trick Final Thursday night (July 31st). Loza, headlined the aggressive group of Moto X riders competing, in front of a sold out STAPLES giving them Center plenty to cheer about as he brought his best to the 2008 X Games 14 competition. The sultry, tatted and pierced Loza took care of business on his first and only run as he dominated the competition scoring an impressive 94.4 with his unique trick and a place in the X Games annals. Loza, the new kid on the block, was invited to compete at X Games 13 last year on the sheer strength of his abilities alone and rode off with his first gold medal. Loza once again found gold this year— albeit this time it was buried in a tunnel behind some jersey barriers. The feat that propelled Kyle Loza into the history books as the first rider to ever win back-to-back gold medals in X Games Moto X Best Trick was formerly entitled "Electric Death". Loza joked in a pre-jump interview that, "If I land it, I'm gonna rename it Electric Doom because Electric Death was for when I crashed and I think it's bad luck." No bad luck for this dynamo. So 'Death' becomes 'Doom' and this Orange County, CA native raises the bar in the sport for the second year in a row. Aside from his two gold accolades, he also won silver at the inaugural X Games Mexico in September, 2007. Loza is the founder of the FMX team Riders 4 Christ, his personal sponsors include Monster Energy, Truth Soul Armor, Electric, CTi, Verizon Wireless, Kicker, Etnies, Precision Concepts, Dunlop, IMS, Leatt, TCX, Shift Racing, Spider Grips, Clarke, Mission Motorsports and Kyle is the front man for the Orange County Dance Rock band VERSUS.
