Kyle Loza body variable X-games "Electric Doom"

"Electric Doom" wows crowd & judges alike at X Games 14 as Kyle Loza Takes Gold in Moto X Best Trick Final for unprecedented 2nd Year in a row. Can Loza take gold again this year at X-games 15?

LOS ANGELES, California (August 1, 2008)— Defending champion, Kyle Loza landed 'Electric Doom' and took home the highest honors in the Moto X Best Trick Final Thursday night (July 31st). Loza, headlined the aggressive group of Moto X riders competing, in front of a sold out STAPLES giving them Center plenty to cheer about as he brought his best to the 2008 X Games 14 competition. The sultry, tatted and pierced Loza took care of business on his first and only run as he dominated the competition scoring an impressive 94.4 with his unique trick and a place in the X Games annals. Loza, the new kid on the block, was invited to compete at X Games 13 last year on the sheer strength of his abilities alone and rode off with his first gold medal. Loza once again found gold this year— albeit this time it was buried in a tunnel behind some jersey barriers. The feat that propelled Kyle Loza into the history books as the first rider to ever win back-to-back gold medals in X Games Moto X Best Trick was formerly entitled "Electric Death". Loza joked in a pre-jump interview that, "If I land it, I'm gonna rename it Electric Doom because Electric Death was for when I crashed and I think it's bad luck." No bad luck for this dynamo. So 'Death' becomes 'Doom' and this Orange County, CA native raises the bar in the sport for the second year in a row. Aside from his two gold accolades, he also won silver at the inaugural X Games Mexico in September, 2007. Loza is the founder of the FMX team Riders 4 Christ, his personal sponsors include Monster Energy, Truth Soul Armor, Electric, CTi, Verizon Wireless, Kicker, Etnies, Precision Concepts, Dunlop, IMS, Leatt, TCX, Shift Racing, Spider Grips, Clarke, Mission Motorsports and Kyle is the front man for the Orange County Dance Rock band VERSUS.
