THE GODFATHER TO JOIN THE COWBOY AT SUPERCROSS

April 21, 2009 – US Freestyle Motocross, Inc., the organizers of the acclaimed Jagermeister Freestyle Motocross halftime show performing at each Monster Energy AMA Supercross event this season, have announced that “the Godfather” himself, multi-time X-Games Gold Medalist and freestyle motocross originator, Mike Metzger, will join “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram and the “Jager crew” at the final two Supercross events of the season! Always one of the highlights of the night, the Jagermeister Freestyle Show featuring the incredible “backflip train” has set this season’s Supercross crowds into a frenzy at each stop on the tour.

“I’m back!” exclaims Metzger, who hasn’t jumped in Las Vegas since he made history by back flipping over the famous Caesar’s Palace Fountains in 2006. A Supercross veteran himself, Metzger points out, “I am stoked to be riding at Supercross again! It’s going to be a blast riding with the guys on the USFMX/Jagermeister/KTM team. We are going to go off!”

Metzger will join Bartram and fellow freestylers Thomas Alves and Dan Newth at Supercross this weekend in Salt Lake City then travel to Las Vegas for the Finals on May 2. The Jagermeister FMX show goes off just prior to the Main Event. Don’t miss the Godfather, the Cowboy and their Jagermeister Posse- it’s going to turn Supercross upside-down!

Long Beach Grand Prix

So this weekend marked the first stop of the Metzger Unlimited Factory Freestyle Team tour. The Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix was a 4 day event and the guys tore it up every day. On Thursday night we shut down pine street and threw it down. On hand to shred was Mike Metzger, Jesse Jolson, Scotty Stevens, Benny La Plante, Tim Jackson, Houston Harmsen, Aaron Johnson, & Steven Bafus. And then on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday they held it down in the Long Beach arena. Metz didnt think that 3 FMX riders were cutting the mustard. So on the last three days we had a special quest, Dustin Nowack aka WACKER. In addition to riders we had DayZero on hand playing live music. To see more photos go to the media section of the site. Also check out DayZero at myspace.com/dayzero

Special thanks to all of the riders, the band DayZero, Gerardo from X-pilots, Jim & Michael from the Long Beach Grand Prix, Richard Quattrocchi Photography, Tyler Oneil, and all of the fans. See you again next year.

Kyle Loza body variable X-games "Electric Doom"

"Electric Doom" wows crowd & judges alike at X Games 14 as Kyle Loza Takes Gold in Moto X Best Trick Final for unprecedented 2nd Year in a row. Can Loza take gold again this year at X-games 15?

LOS ANGELES, California (August 1, 2008)— Defending champion, Kyle Loza landed 'Electric Doom' and took home the highest honors in the Moto X Best Trick Final Thursday night (July 31st). Loza, headlined the aggressive group of Moto X riders competing, in front of a sold out STAPLES giving them Center plenty to cheer about as he brought his best to the 2008 X Games 14 competition. The sultry, tatted and pierced Loza took care of business on his first and only run as he dominated the competition scoring an impressive 94.4 with his unique trick and a place in the X Games annals. Loza, the new kid on the block, was invited to compete at X Games 13 last year on the sheer strength of his abilities alone and rode off with his first gold medal. Loza once again found gold this year— albeit this time it was buried in a tunnel behind some jersey barriers. The feat that propelled Kyle Loza into the history books as the first rider to ever win back-to-back gold medals in X Games Moto X Best Trick was formerly entitled "Electric Death". Loza joked in a pre-jump interview that, "If I land it, I'm gonna rename it Electric Doom because Electric Death was for when I crashed and I think it's bad luck." No bad luck for this dynamo. So 'Death' becomes 'Doom' and this Orange County, CA native raises the bar in the sport for the second year in a row. Aside from his two gold accolades, he also won silver at the inaugural X Games Mexico in September, 2007. Loza is the founder of the FMX team Riders 4 Christ, his personal sponsors include Monster Energy, Truth Soul Armor, Electric, CTi, Verizon Wireless, Kicker, Etnies, Precision Concepts, Dunlop, IMS, Leatt, TCX, Shift Racing, Spider Grips, Clarke, Mission Motorsports and Kyle is the front man for the Orange County Dance Rock band VERSUS.
